Austin has a lot going on, from music to comedy to films being churned out like an Amish butter contest. We here at Sidecar Junkaroo believe it is our civic duty to interview these artists because, well, they deserve it and so do you.
Our comedy editor, Gavin Alexandra, is working on an interview regarding a new feature-length film being made in the Austin area -- a film that will surely grip you and play your heart strings with its meaty claws.

In Waves is one woman's curious adventure through learning to live with her husband as he faces a life-altering medical condition. In Waves is the full-length movie depiction of that old meme of annoying girlfriends asking, "Would you still love me if I was a..." While the humor is evident throughout the writing, it's an unconventional, hilarious story of grief, moving on and accepting what we wish we could control.
While we don't want to give much away regarding the article itself (coming soon, don't worry), what can be said is that the crew is currently raising money to begin the filming process. On October 12 (a Sunday, so I know you're free), the crew will be hosting an event at Fallout Theater with all proceeds going toward the kickstarter for their project -- uniquely dubbed The Crabaret.

If you can't make their shell-abration and still want to donate to keeping Austin weird -- because, trust me, this film is doing just that -- then you can click here and get re-directed to their Kickstarter. There's only five days left to donate, so get your crab cakes in gear.
Any curiosity encounters your mind, check out their Instagram. Get a load of the talented cast and even the directors going all out for advertisements (like standing in a pool in JEANS, so talk about dedication).
